Professor in the field of Mechanical Engineering
Prof. V.K. Gupta is working as a full time Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Discipline at PDPM-Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur. He has more than 30 years of teaching and research experience. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Mechanical Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India. His research interests include vibration, design, reliability, smart structures, finite element analysis, mechatronics and robotics, and energy harvesting. He had published more than 50 papers in refereed journals and conferences. He is the recipient of ISAME K. Suryanarayan Rao Memorial Senior Student Award for R&D in Smart Technology for 2003 and JSPS short-term Invitation Fellowship for 2015. He is a member of INAE, ASME, SPIE, IEEE, SRESA, and other professional bodies.
