Associate Professor in the field of Electronics & Communications Engineering
Dr. Anil Kumar has received the B.E. from Army Institute of Technology Pune, Pune University in Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering and M.Tech and Ph.D. Degrees from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India in 2002, 2006 and 2010, respectively. After doctoral work, he has joined as an Assistant Professor in the Electronic & Communication Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM), Jabalpur, India since 2009. Currently, He is Associate Professor in the Electronic & Communication Engineering Department, IIITDM Jabalpur, India since 2021. His academic and research interest is design of Digital Filters & Multirate Filter Bank, Multirate Signal Processing, Biomedical Signal Processing, Image Processing, and Speech Processing. In these sub-areas, he has engaged his M.Tech and Ph.D. students for active research work and novel approach to the above fields. He has supervised 13 PhD dissertations, 30 M. Tech, and 50B.Tech Projects. He has published 157 papers in refereed international journals, 106 papers in referred conferences, 22 book chapters, and two books from Springer and Tailor Fransis. Out of these, 130 are in SCI index journals. He was a visiting researcher, Center for Research and Development of Educational Technology at Tokyo Institute of Technology Japan in 2011 through Jenesys Programme. He has also completed his postdoctoral research work from Gwangju Institute of Science & Technology (GIST), South Korea. Currently, he is also visiting researcher in InfoNet Lab, GIST, South Korea since 2017. He has also coordinated a research project sponsored by Department of Science and Technology (DST), ISRO and consultancy projects and has been selected as a host researcher from India for hosting two researchers from Tunisia under C.V. Raman Fellowship under senior research fellowship. He has served as a member of Postgraduate Committee of the Senate (PGCS), Central Purchase Committee (CPC), Student Advisory Committee of the Senate (SACS), and Placement Cell at IIITDM Jabalpur. Also served as Convener, Library Committee of the Senate (LCS), Associate Warden, faculty-in charge for QIP cell, Coordinator, SC-ST Minority Cell at Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur. He has also served as Head, Electonic & Communication Engineering Department. Currently, he is the faculty-in charge for placement. He has membership of IEEE, IEEE Signal Processing Society, IEEE Young Professionals, IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, International Association of Engineers (IAENG), and International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT).
