Assistant Professor in the field of Electronics & Communications Engineering

I am an Electrical Engineer (B.E., M.Tech., Ph.D.) working with IIITDM Jabalpur as an assistant professor. I Worked as an Engineer (Projects) and Senior Engineer (Operations & Maintenance) with the largest power utility of India, viz. NTPC Ltd., for about five years, from 2002 to 2007, where I was responsible for erection, testing and commissioning of 400/132KV switchyard, variable frequency drive (VFD), generator protection & excitation system. I also got the experience of operation and maintenance of generator & excitation system and switchyard equipment. My team contributed towards the completion of the projects (2×500MW RSTPP Stage-II & 1×210MW FGUTPP Stage-III) much before the target dates. I was honored with ‘General Manager Special Award’ in 2005 for outstanding contribution in breakdown handling and restoration of Generator Transformer in record time. I have undergone through many professional training programs at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Power Management Institute (PMI, NTPC), etc. and many academic and research training programs at different IITs related to my field. I also have the experience and formal training of working with Real-Time Digital Simulators, Viz. RTDS and Opal-RT, the experience of working with hardware circuits, etc. I enjoy coding and working on electronics circuits. I use my leisure time reading spiritual books and listening to spiritual lectures. I regularly practice spiritual meditation.
