Having a rich teaching & research experience of twenty-nine years, along with administrative experience in various capacities. UG degree (BE) specialization is in Electronics & Instrumentation Engg., ME is from University of Roorkee (Measurements & Instrumentation) and PhD in EC domain from Thapar University Patiala. Research area is Signal Processing, and for last fifteen years contributing significantly to an interdisciplinary sub domain of Signal Processing, viz., Genomic & Proteomic Signal Processing.

- Development of Signal Processing Based Methods for Condition Monitoring of Machines
Machines are needed to be monitored during the production process to improve machine operation reliability & reduce unavailability. In this project condition monitoring of induction motors was accomplished using acceleration & proximity sensors. Data acquisition for healthy machines and machines with bearing faults was done using USB-6008 DAQ card compatible with LabVIEW., and NI myRIO. The acquired signals were analyzed using Ramanujan Fourier Transform and Zolotorev transform.
